Soooo, I was disappointed at how the movie critic in the local newspaper reviewed, "9." In fact, it disappointed me so much that I couldn't help but to e-mail him.

Soooo.....this was the e-mail chain in which he made me want to do some ninja-skilled action to his face for being such an idiot.

"This imbalance creates a paradox for "9." The movie is too dark, even with all of the living dolls, to entertain youngsters. It is as if Woody from "Toy Story" were suddenly thrust into "I am Legend." It just won't hold the attention of youngsters."

I don’t believe this movie’s targeted audience was for youngsters. Keep in mind that although computer animated and produced movies are mainly targeted towards them, it does not mean they ALL are. It’s self-explanatory in the movie trailer itself that it’s a darker movie with a post-apocalyptic storyline; obviously, it's not intended for children so of course it won’t hold their attention.
